What a journey! We began with fresh stock-made soups, and a few Panini-grilled sandwiches. We added the best fresh-baked scones in the world (told to us by the people who travel it), and a brownie that is absolutely decadent. Soon requests for catered functions came in, and because our space only accommodated a few we gave it a shot. We boast the friendliest service because it matters not only to me, but to all of the staff that has been with us for any decent amount of time. We kick butt and take names, literally! We love to greet our guests by their name.
Jane, our scone baker, is the masterful creator behind the best of the scone combinations, and loves to create some of the best specials on the menu. Her special Panini, Jane’s Favorite, had to be put on the menu because of its popularity. It is still one of the most requested sandwiches. Martha is our ambassador of fun and is critical to our customer service in the café, and to our community service outside of the café. Martha knows before I do what a customer’s name is and what their favorite drink may be. She is the idea go-to person for team-building experiences and is the glue that keeps our team functioning at the level it does. Did you see us in the Boat Armada? Martha’s brainchild.
Ally and Jesika have both been with us at the café for a couple of years, and are also eager to help serve, and love tinkering in the kitchen. They are also the organizational backbone of the operation, and love the people who grace us with their business every day.
We are a fresh, metropolitan café. Our objective is to give our guests the highest level of customer service around. We aim to wow your palette, whether it be the best coffee and scone for breakfast, a unique soup and sandwich for lunch, or one of our dinner creations. We want you to walk out saying what a great experience you have had and asking yourself when you can get back.
As of this writing, we are expanding our café and moving our operation to a bigger space. We are excited at all the possibilities that the new café will bring. New friends and customers, along with the customers we already call our friends, will always be the center of what we do.
